This concert will be a relaxed session, a performance with greater tolerance to audience movement and noise, allowing a more accessible and inclusive experience.

The Barcelona Symphonic Band is transformed into a grand theatrical stage in a performance brimming with energy and artistic rapport. This concert will take the audience on a thrilling journey through the lights of Broadway and the West End, spanning decades of great musicals. The programme features a wide and intense range of emotions, from the brilliant and playful momentum of the overture of Bernstein’s Candide to Gershwin’s nostalgic Summertime, as well as the great Rodgers & Hammerstein classics and unforgettable moments from The Phantom of the Opera and Wicked. Each piece has been cleverly adapted for band, leveraging the power of the wind and percussion instruments to convey intensity, lyricism and theatricality. This dynamic, vibrant and accessible concert, designed to introduce families to the magic of musicals, will be conducted by Sergi Cuenca and feature Ana San Martín and Daniel Anglès as special participants.
