Welcome to the start of a new concert season, together with our Chief Conductor Karl-Heinz Steffens and Norrköping-born violinist Johan Dalene.
During the 2026/27 season, Johan Dalene is our featured artist and will appear in several concerts. In the season opening, you will hear him in Samuel Barber’s lyrical and virtuosic Violin Concerto, where the soloist’s expression and presence truly come to the fore. The concert opens with Andrea Tarrodi’s colourful Paradisfåglar II, and concludes with Mahler’s grand Symphony No. 1, “Titan” – a work full of contrasts, energy and powerful emotions.
