Johann Sebastian Bach’s immortal Christmas Oratorio unites theology, drama and musical architecture.
In this concert, Parts I–III are performed by soloists, two choirs from Norrköping and the Norrköping Symphony Orchestra under the direction of Chief Conductor Karl‑Heinz Steffens.
Bach’s Christmas Oratorio is one of the most beloved works in music history. Through jubilant choruses, tender arias and richly interwoven melodies that build dramatic tension, it tells the story of the birth of Christ.
The work brings together joy, devotion, drama and stillness in music filled with faith, human warmth and the radiant light of the Baroque – a timeless celebration of the Christmas message.
