The culmination of a summer of over 80 concerts – including at venues around the country – classical music’s greatest international party draws the 2026 Proms to a close while echoing some of the themes of the season. Superstar pianist Yuja Wang returns following her last appearance here in 2023. Her talents are matched by the vocal and stage prowess of charismatic Scottish tenor Nicky Spence, whose repertoire ranges from operatic roles by Britten and Janáček to the witty, urbane numbers of Noël Coward. As ever, BBC forces flood the stage of the Royal Albert, all marshalled by Sakari Oramo, returning for his fifth Prom this summer – including an appearance as violinist in Bristol – and his seventh Last Night.
