The RTÉ Concert Orchestra and Joe Stilgoe present a night of pure entertainment – an orchestral journey through the greatest films of the last 100 years.
Join us for orchestral arrangements of That’s Entertainment (That’s Entertainment!,1974), Raindrops Keep Falling On My Head (Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid, 1969), Moon River (Breakfast at Tiffany’s, 1961) and more.
Also on the billing in bright lights are Cabaret (Cabaret, 1972), Top Hat/Putting on the Ritz (Puttin’ on the Ritz, 1930), famously featured in the Clark Gable dance scene in Idiot’s Delight, and Gene Wilder’s scene in Mel Brooks’ Young Frankenstein), and medleys from High Society, Audience, and the James Bond series.
Expect an evening of glamour, show biz, and cinematic nostalgia, performed by the RTÉ Concert Orchestra, jazz star Joe Stilgoe, Ben Reynolds on drums and Tom Farmer on double bass.
