Classical music, opera, ballet and dance in Eltville am Rhein, Germany

Partnering Augustin Hadelich in the Sibelius Violin Concerto and directing two works by Mendelssohn, Andrés Orozco-Estrada doesn't quite temper acoustic problems associated with the ecclesiastical venue.

Founded in 2005, Concerto Stella Matutina hail from the musically rich Vorarlberg region of Austria (home of the Schubertiade). For this evening’s concert, they were represented by two violins, a viola, cello and double bass apiece, a concert organ and percussion, plus their magnificent Baroque brass section – three players with a variety of horns, trumpets, trombones and cornetts.

Zum Schaufensterland des diesjährigen Festivals, Großbritannien, durfte The King’s Consort mit der Wiederholung seines Signature-Programms nicht fehlen. Es versetzte eindrucksvoll in das damalige royale Großereignis schlechthin.
