The work most frequently performed in concert in 2023, Rachmaninov’s masterpiece owes its popularity to specific circumstances, but also to much deeper reasons.
Vasily Petrenko, Anne-Sophie Mutter und das Royal Philharmonic Orchestra gastierte nin Köln mit Werken von Bernstein, Previn und Rachmaninow. Neben einem Spektakel der Klangfarben hallt das Konzert aber auch aus einem anderen Grund nach.
