Though resident in the USA for decades, Musgrave has strong Scottish roots, as revealed in her luminous settings of the poetry of William Dunbar (Rorate coeli) and Robert Burns, whose sensual Songs for a Winter’s Evening will be sung by soprano Lisa Milne. Poems seen on London Underground trains were the inspiration for the a cappella On the Underground and the return of Odysseus for her moving Ithaca. Tickets £8 - 24.
