Expect a riot of colour in an evening that mixes two theatrical suites with a sparkling new piano concerto for Kathryn Stott.

Ravel's delicate Le Tombeau de Couperin prefaces Swiss composer Richard Dugugnon's new concerto, especially commissioned by Stott, an admirer of his witty, virtuosic style. French conductor Fabien Gabel ends with two favourite orchestral showpieces: Háry János's comic fantasy of defeating Napoléon and stealing his wife's heart is contrasted by the ice and fire of Prokofiev's dramatisation of the real Napoléonic wars.
