The youngest-ever recipient of the Pulitzer Prize in music, Grammy Award-winning composer Caroline Shaw, and Sō Percussion, the adventuresome ensemble acclaimed by The New York Times for their “telepathic powers of communication,” bring their captivating artistry to 92NY in their only NYC appearance together this season.

Their program draws from their acclaimed Nonesuch recording project, Let the Soil Play Its Simple Part, with original songs and lyrics inspired by and reflecting the artists’ broad span of interests: James Joyce, a poem by Anne Carson, the Sacred Harp hymn book, American roots music, and more. Shaw’s music is a soundscape like no other. Join us for this sure-to-be extraordinary evening exploring – as Sō Percussion says – “the immense possibility of art in our time.”
