Asya Fateyeva is a trailblazing virtuoso saxophonist trained in Paris, Cologne, and Hamburg. In 2014, she became the first woman to reach the finals of the prestigious International Adolphe Sax Competition in Dinant, Belgium, where she secured third place. She regularly performs with leading European orchestras and boldly combines musical styles in her albums.
With the Lautten Compagney Berlin and the Munich Symphony Orchestra, she has released a highly successful CD, Dancing Queen, featuring interpretations of works by ABBA and Jean-Philippe Rameau. In 2024, she was featured as an artist-in-residence at the Schleswig-Holstein Festival. In addition to her solo career, she engages in chamber music and original projects incorporating classical compositions, jazz, and world music.
