Is it possible to create a “safe space” during a concert where we can surrender to the intoxicating power of sound, where we can experience a positive state of mind that allows for total surrender? That is the aim of this program.
Drawing on the idea of obsession and the more musical concept of the leitmotif, artistic director Simon-Pierre Bestion draws upon the work of three major contemporary figures and connects them to find the key to a physical and direct experience of sound: Arvo Pärt, Jehan Alain, and Philip Glass.
