How to get there?

Amare is located at Spuiplein, in the centre of The Hague. It’s just a 5-minute stroll from The Hague’s main railway station (CS): simply follow Turfmarkt. From The Hague’s Holland Spoor railway station (HS), it’s a 15-minute walk. You can also catch a tram or bus to the Spui, Kalvermarkt/Stadhuis or Centrum stops, to arrive at Amare’s doorstep.

Car parking

The city centre is easy to reach by public transport. Coming by car anyway? You can find several parking garages in the vicinity of Amare, for example Q-Park Spui, Stadhuis, Turfmarkt, Muzenplein, Stadhuis (limited opening hours!) en Veerkaden. Amare does not operate its own parking garage.

The Hague also has a number of park-and-ride (P+R) facilities. Park your car at one of these facilities on the outskirts of the city at a low rate and travel to the city centre by public transport. Read more about it here.

We recommend you park your bicycle in the secure bicycle parking facility of Biesieklette Stadhuis or Spuiplein. But bear in mind the facilities’ closing hours!

Dress code

There is no dress code. Some attendees dress up while others don a more casual attire.

The whole building is air-conditioned.

Food & drink

In the mood for a bite to eat before attending a concert or performance? Got something to celebrate? Want to catch up with a friend over drinks? Or just enjoy a sandwich behind your laptop? Amare offers two catering establishments, each with its own unique atmosphere and gastronomic concept.

Juni Stadskantine is your go-to for a sandwich, a quick bite or a cup of coffee.

The new Brasserie Amare by Luden offers a cosy atmosphere and a delicious menu that offers drinks, snacks, lunch and dinner.

Both the Stadskantine and Brasserie Amare offer vegetarian choices. If you have any other dietary preferences, ask the staff about the possibilities.

Accessibility

Amare wants to be accessible for everyone. The venue is suitable for visitors with mobility difficulties. There are lifts as well as escalators, and the halls are wheelchair-friendly.

We’re happy to help you with all the information you might need about ordering tickets and planning your visit. If any questions remain, please contact our booking office via kassa@amare.nl or phone +31 70 88 00 333 (Tuesday through Friday, 13:00 - 18:00).

We are eager to help!

Attending a performance with children?

Strollers for children can be left behind during performances suitable for children, our cloakroom staff is happy to help. Several disabled toilets in Amare are equipped with a changing station. You can find them in the following places: On the 1st floor behind the cloakroom, at the permanent bar of the Danstheater and at the back of the Spinoza Foyer. On the 2nd floor near the large toilet block in the middle. On the 3rd floor next to the Stadskantine at Foyer 3 (station side of the building).

Amare does not offer creche facilities or child-care facilities during regular concerts.
