Pinchas Zukerman conducts Rachmaninov

Following the resounding success of his tours with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, Principal Guest Conductor Pinchas Zukerman returns to conduct the Orchestra in a sparkling programme of Russian gems, including Tchaikovsky’s Piano Concerto No.1, performed by Olga Kern. The concert culminates in the ravishing Second Symphony by Rachmaninov, a work which ranges from stormy turbulence to aching romanticism, all the while showcasing the Orchestra’s capacity for lush textures.
