The Oxford Philharmonic Orchestra is honoured to welcome back to Oxford Maestro Valery Gergiev, who left the Sheldonian audience spellbound in 2013 when he led the Orchestra in an unforgettable evening of Strauss and Mendelssohn. With a programme to be announced later in the season, this is a rare chance to see Gergiev on Oxford soil in a masterly exhibition of artistic perception, musical elocution and expressive vitality.
