Seth Schultheis is the Aud Jebsen Fellow at the Royal Academy of Music. He won first prize at the prestigious 2025 Telekom Beethoven Prize in Bonn. A keen advocate of contemporary music, his programme opens with Timo Andres’s Fiddlehead, an exhilarating stream of piano energy commissioned by Carnegie Hall in 2023. Beethoven’s lightly humorous Bagatelles form the link to Schumann’s passionate love letter to Clara, a highly-wrought fantasy with quotations from Beethoven’s An die ferne Geliebte and consummate romantic artistry.
