Tonkünstler-Orchester & Domingo Hindoyan

WolkenturmGrafenegg, Lower Austria, Austria
Dates/times in Vienna time zone
Sunday 16 August 202619:30
Festival: Grafenegg Festival

«Colin Pütz’s piano playing combines technical brilliance and expressiveness with a touching naturalness», says Rudolf Buchbinder – and not without reason: he himself selected the young German pianist as the winner of the prestigious Swiss piano prize Prix Serdang 2025. Pütz’s debut in Grafenegg is thus another token of the artistic director’s personal appreciation. The programme will feature Beethoven’s Piano Concerto No. 1, an early work but, as Buchbinder emphasises, a «very grand» concerto due to its dimensions and depth. Tchaikovsky’s «Pathétique» needs no introduction in terms of its greatness and expressiveness; it is simply one of the milestones of music history. Domingo Hindoyan, celebrated Chief Conductor of the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra and designated music director of the Los Angeles Opera, will conduct the Tonkunstler-Orchestra.
