Imogen Whitehead, principal trumpet of the Britten Sinfonia and a fast-rising soloist, presents a lyrical and wide-ranging programme with pianist Patrick Milne. From Gershwin’s swing to folk-inspired melodies and a new work by Peter Walton, the programme showcases Whitehead’s expressive style – described as ‘impeccable’ (BBC Radio 3).
