Cyrille Dubois and Tristan Raës return to Wigmore Hall for the latest programme in their multi-season exploration of the songs of Gabriel Fauré and the context in which they were written. Their programme includes chansons by Louis Beydts, a pupil of Messager and Hahn, and Gabriel Dupont, whose respective causes the duo has championed in concert and on disc. It also underlines the connection between Lili Boulanger and Fauré, a family friend and mentor who encouraged her on the way to becoming the first female winner of the coveted Prix de Rome.
