Hear the past, present and future as the Amelio Trio present a series of innovative works for piano and strings.
This lively concert brings together a selection of music that rapidly shifts in character and style. Beginning with the eccentric wildness of Ives, the performance moves through the stillness of Bertelsmeier, to the virtuosic and playful inventiveness of Haydn. It also features the world premiere and ECHO commissioned work by Winkelmann and draws to an atmospheric close with a mysterious work by Robert Schumann.
Amelio Trio are a leading chamber ensemble who have performed in Europe’s most renowned concert halls. They won the International Chamber Music Prize Frankfurt in 2022 and won the second prize at the prestigious ARD International Music Competition in Munich in 2023.
