Krzysztof Moskalewicz is a Polish pianist celebrated for his exceptional sensitivity and interpretations marked by naturalness and profound expression.
Equally passionate about solo and collaborative performance, Krzysztof has performed as a soloist and chamber musician at many prestigious venues including Barbican Hall, Wigmore Hall, Birmingham Town Hall, Palacio de Festivales de Santander, and the Witold Lutosławski Polish Radio Concert Studio in Warsaw, alongside many other venues across Europe, Japan, and the United States. As a soloist, Krzysztof has performed with the Sussex Symphony Orchestra, the Opole Philharmonic Orchestra, the Radom Chamber Orchestra, and the Fryderyk Chopin State Music School Symphony Orchestra.
Krzysztof has been invited to many international music festivals and piano courses worldwide. In 2015 he attended the Aspen Music Festival and School in Colorado. He has collaborated with Maestro Thomas Adès at the International Musicians Seminar in Prussia Cove and has also performed at the Harmos International Chamber Music Festival at Casa da Música in Porto, the Encuentro de Música y Academia de Santander Festival, the Aegean Arts International Festival in Crete, Gijon International Piano Festival, and the Bachfest in Leipzig.
His debut album released in 2022 features all of Chopin’s Ballades alongside new compositions titled ‘Four Postcards’ by the Chinese composer Sun Keting. Notably, he has also recorded a unique recital on Chopin’s personal Pleyel piano, the very instrument on which the composer created some of his final works.
Krzysztof’s musical journey began at the age of seven under the tutelage of Renata Lasocka. In 2011, he graduated with honors from the Fryderyk Chopin State Music School in Warsaw, where he studied with Joanna Kurpiowska. He furthered his education at the Guildhall School of Music & Drama, earning a Master’s degree with distinction in 2017 under the guidance of Ronan O’Hora and receiving the prestigious Guildhall Artist Fellowship. He also completed a Professional Diploma at the Royal Academy of Music, studying with Ian Fountain.
A prize winner at several international piano competitions, including the International Brant Piano Competition in Birmingham, the Christopher Duke International Piano Recital Competition in London, and the Piano Competition of Ludwik Stefański Plock in Poland, which led to a concert tour in Japan. In 2016 he became an artist of the Talent Unlimited Trust. Krzysztof was also awarded the Derek Butler Award from the Countess of Munster Musical Trust and the James Gibb Scholarship Award. Moreover, Krzysztof has received awards from the Royal Academy of Music Trust and the Sinfonia Varsovia Foundation.
Our piano, a very fine 2015 Hamburg Steinway Model B Grand, is maintained by Steinways and tuned by them immediately before each recital.
After the concert, we offer a traditional British buffet tea consisting of freshly-made sandwiches with savouries and cakes, accompanied by your choice of a glass of wine or unlimited tea, coffee or juice. Tea tickets are sold on the door for cash only. We can cater for up to 70.
