Hardenberger, arguably the world’s
finest trumpeter, who brings with him
music infused with the spirit of the
Baroque. Stravinsky’s re-working of
music by the Italian Giovanni Battista
Pergolesi is a bustling bag of Baroque
tricks injected with Stravinsky’s own
brand of 20th century irreverence
and harmonic spice. Håkan picks up
his trumpet for Haydn’s spectacular
concerto along with an exquisite piece
of Bach, ending with more Haydn: his
