Katarina Karnéus displayed sovereign English diction, elegant musicianship and a sense of dramatic scale in Sea Pictures.

A frightyfully enjoyable world premiere of Victoria Borisova-Ollas first opera, turned into a giant Halloween party, where the Kungliga Operan is invaded by an audience of vampires, emaciated Victorian ladies and sinister characters.

RSNO cellist Peter Hunt's pre-concert talk began with a reading from Salman Rushhdie's novel, The Ground Beneath Her Feet.
