Sadler’s Wells Flamenco Festival continues with Manuel Liñán’s Muerta de Amor, a show that screams much more of the power of love than its death. 

The enduring artistry of Sara Baras and her company opened the London Flamenco Festival with a stunning and memorable performance from the entire cast.

Liñán leads the way with a trio of solos, each showcasing his magnificent command of zapateado, opening with a back-to-audience performance that exemplified the silky-smooth fluidity of his hands, wrists and arms.

Costumes play a big part in the production but is her extraordinarily youthful athleticism and her intimate and absorbing performance that are most memorable.
