Au sein d'un week-end consacré à Berlioz, le monumental Te Deum étourdit les auditeurs de la Philharmonie, écrasant la création du Concerto pour piano n° 2 de Jarrell par Chamayou.

Manfred Honeck concluded the PSO’s season – his tenth as music director – with Emanuel Ax in Beethoven’s “Emperor” Concerto and a spectacular traversal of Berlioz’s Te Deum.

Charles Dutoit stands as arguably today’s premier Berlioz conductor. If his case needed any special pleading, it was pled well in Symphony Hall when he bracketed the Resurrexit and Te Deum with Henri Dutillieux’s Timbre, espace, mouvement ou La Nuit étoilée.
