Boris Giltburg joins The Hallé for Rachmaninov's Fourth Piano Concerto, the emotional heart of the evening.

Despite wonderful contributions from Stanislav Kochanovsky and the Orchestre de Paris, a disappointing opening to the Philharmonie's Rachmaninov Weekend. 

An elegant venue with a fine acoustic and a beautiful Steinway piano, coupled with one of the UK's most gifted pianists active today made for an evening of music making of the highest calibre.
