This year, the «Zwischentöne» («Nuances») Festival looks back and at the same time leaps forward with the deconstruction and reinterpretation of the concept of «origins». Artistic fields of tension open up as works reflecting tradition contrast with compositional leaps into the unknown.
Fitting with this year’s comprehensive theme, we are honored to be joined by one of the most comprehensive musicians of our time: Sir András Schiff. The audience can look forward to a solo piano recital, as well as highlights such as Schumann's Piano Quintet and Schubert’s Trout Quintet performed together with the Merel Quartet.
Nearest airports are Zürich and Basel EuroAirport. There are several train connections each hour from Zürich and Basel Airports. The journey takes approximately 2 hours & 15 minutes from the airport, or 1 hour 40 minutes from Zürich Main Station.
