Festival: Salzburg Whitsun Festival

Salzburg Whitsun Festival 2018

The Salzburg Whitsun Festival 2018 is dedicated to the memory of Gioachino Rossini. 1868, the year of his death, was used as orientation to assemble the events. The 2018 Salzburg Whitsun Festival begins with the premiere of Rossini’s opera L’italiana in Algeri. The festival stages not only works of Camille Saint-Saëns and Edvard Grieg but also Jacques Offenbach’s charming opera La Péricole.
