Two Michaels – Collins and McHale – provided the musical nourishment in today’s lunchtime recital from Wigmore Hall, a feast of classic clarinet sonatas.

Sparks fly at the Queen's Hall, but it's the gentler arrangements that really impress. 

Ottensamer shared the stage at Wigmore Hall with pianist José Gallardo and together they took it by storm with the erupting scalar passages in the first movement of Weber’s Grand Duo concertant.
