Gillian Ebersole studies Dance and English at Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles, California, where she trains in ballet and modern. At university, she writes and publishes work about dance, both in the form of poetry and critical essays. She loves languages, and looks at dance writing as a conversation between the written language and the language of dance.
The Day features music by David Lang and choreography by Lucinda Childs as former ballerina Wendy Whelan and cellist Maya Beiser perform together in this work contemplating memory, mortality, and aging.
