Mr Handel’s Christmas Story

Mr Handel’s Christmas Story is a ‘new’ oratorio to celebrate Christmas and introduce young people to some of Handel’s greatest music. 

6,000 young singers, 11 cities, and 28 of Gabrieli’s professional instrumentalists and singers: Gabrieli Roar’s Mr Handel’s Christmas Story tour comes to London, at Smith Square Hall.

An exciting and original concept created by Gabrieli Artistic Director Paul McCreesh, the programme will include many highlights from Messiah alongside movements from other oratorios by Handel, adapted and re-texted to create a programme that retells the Christmas story in full.

Culminating in a joyous rendition of the Hallelujah chorus, Gabrieli’s full Baroque orchestra and singers will be joined by schools and youth choirs from across London.
