Alexandra Păceană and the Valegro Quartet

Our opening concert in the LCMS 2026/27 series features guitar and string quartet, and the rich, expressive possibilities of plucked and bowed strings combined. The Valegro Quartet – Takanori Okamoto and Sophia Molina (violins), Haruka Makino (viola), Doraly Gill (cello) – are joined by guitarist Alexandra Păceană in music by Mozart, striking new arrangements of music by J.S. Bach and George Enescu, and one of the best-loved guitar quintets in the repertoire, the Quintet that Mario Castelnuovo-Tedesco composed for Segovia in 1950.

This performance will last approximately 2 hours, including a 20-minute interval.

A small number of tickets in the front two rows are available for £28 online or £31 at the door (£21/£23.25 for LCMS Friends). 

Student and young adult tickets are £7 both online and at the door.
