How can classical music and club culture connect across generations? Formats such as Berlin’s “Yellow Lounge” or “TonhalleLATE” in Zurich have shown how classical live music and club atmosphere can open up new spaces for music. Now the Luzerner Sinfonieorchester is taking this idea further at Neubad Lucerne.
Beethoven’s Fifth Symphony is performed in the former swimming pool – direct, concentrated and without a conductor, led by concertmaster Gregory Ahss.
After Beethoven’s Fifth in the pool, the evening continues in the club, where DORA blends well-known hits from past decades with contemporary dance and club sounds.
“Beethoven (on the) Rocks” brings concert and club culture together in one evening – informal, direct and right in the heart of Neubad.
