Lizzie Ball brings Classical Kicks back to Ronnie Scott’s in its original and much-loved format. Founded in 2012 as the club’s first classical series, Classical Kicks has always brought together exceptional emerging talent with established names from across the musical spectrum, creating a space where classical music can collide with other genres, improvisation and new ideas.
Expect a brilliantly eclectic programme from Alessandro MacKinnon-Botti, the cross-genre composer, pianist and beatboxer; groundbreaking cellist and composer Zara Hudson-Kozdoj; acclaimed violist, violinist and vocalist Una Palliser; and cross-genre improvising virtuoso Athena Octavia, alongside Lizzie and special guests. From beatboxing and contemporary composition to classical, folk and jazz influences, Classical Kicks has always been about what happens when exceptional musicians step outside the expected, and this return promises an evening full of surprises, virtuosity and musical mischief.
