Gautier Capuçon and Frank Braley, long-time chamber music partners, each blessed with the power to uncover fresh insights into even the most familiar of compositions, bring their latest thoughts on the first three of Beethoven’s five cello sonatas to Wigmore Hall. They begin with one of the composer’s most genial works, a spellbinding set of variations on a hit tune from Mozart’s Die Zauberflöte.
