J.S.Bach's Weihnachts-Oratorium parts 1,2, 5 and 6 sung in the original German with a period instrument orchestra and professional soloists. Bach's longest and most sophisticated work consists of a cycle of six cantatas written for the Christmas period in 1734. Music from earlier compositions is incorporated to total three hours' worth of which we have selected four parts. This will be your chance to hear an authentic and accomplished performance of an iconic work.
