Back in 1913, Stravinsky’s The Rite of Spring was so revolutionary that orchestras struggled to play it – and audiences rioted at the sound. Today, it’s the latest and greatest challenge for conductor Andrew Gourlay and the inspirational young musicians of the CBSO Youth Orchestra. And coupled with Prokofiev’s demonic Second Piano Concerto, also from 1913 – we think they’ll knock you into next week.

You will be asked to show your ticket for access into the pre-concert talk, and then invited to take your seat for the concert immediately after the talk concludes.
