The Estonian Philharmonic Chamber Choir is joined by the Tallinn Chamber Orchestra for an evening of beloved 20th century works in celebration of Estonian composer Arvo Pärt's 90th birthday.

In the second of three concerts celebrating the composer's 90th birthday, some of Arvo Pärt’s best known works including Cantus in Memoriam Benjamin Britten, L’Abbé Agathon, Fratres and Te Deum are heard alongside Estonian 20th century composer Ester Mägi’s Vesper for string orchestra.

Arvo Pärt is one of the most popular figures in contemporary classical music, known for his pioneering strain of 20th century minimalism that takes inspiration from the resonances of church bells. Many of his works were written for the Estonian Philharmonic Chamber Choir, who have since become authoritative performers of his work.
