The annual performance of Handel’s sacred oratorio Messiah returns to the Royal Albert Hall for our 2018 Christmas festival of events.

The splendour of the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra and the Philharmonia Chorus, will be combined with rising vocal stars, including previous BBC New Generation Artist Benjamin Appl, brought together by the much lauded young Russian conductor Maxim Emelyanychev.

A Species of Musick Different From Any Other: Handel's Messiah

The piece was, of course, 117 years old at the time, and there has only been more written on this landmark composition since.
