An artist of extraordinary range and ambition, and a recipient in 2018 of a Gilmore Artist Award, Igor Levit has been described by Alex Ross as ‘like no other pianist’. With a repertoire that at times includes some of the most gigantic statements ever conceived for piano, here he concentrates on miniatures in the shape of late piano pieces by Brahms.
