Celebrate the festive season with Bach’s much-loved Christmas Oratorio, performed with TPC’s distinctive warmth and energy in the beautiful setting of Holy Trinity Church, Sloane Square.
From the jubilant opening “Jauchzet, frohlocket!” to moments of wonder, reflection and joy, Bach’s Christmas Oratorio is one of the great musical celebrations of Christmas. Our performance features Parts 1, 2, 3 and 6.
We’re joined by a wonderful line-up of soloists, including former TPC Bass Scholar Allyn Wu, alongside Endelienta Baroque, a talented young ensemble performing on historical instruments. The ensemble previously joined us for our unforgettable performance of Bach’s B Minor Mass in 2023.
And the setting is part of the experience. Holy Trinity Sloane Square, described by Sir John Betjeman as “the Cathedral of the Arts and Crafts Movement”, provides a stunning backdrop, with glowing stonework, remarkable craftsmanship and exceptional acoustics.
Bach, Christmas, great performers and one of London’s most beautiful churches – a festive concert not to be missed.
