Violinist Kinga Ujszászi curates a truly nocturnal The Night Shift setlist drawing on sleep-themed music by Monteverdi, Biber, Merula, Mealli, Handel and others. The Italian writer, Italo Calvino’s trait of seeing reality in different ways allows us to discover new possibilities for storytelling as we hear familiar baroque melodies in a new light. A mix of vocal and instrumental pieces blends operatic expression with chamber intimacy.
