| Aristo Sham | Piano |
Hong Kong-born pianist Aristo Sham has gone from prodigy-to-watch to fully arriving in the global piano world.
His 2025 Gold Medal win at the Van Cliburn International Competition has catapulted his career, and it is a thrill to present him in his 92NY debut. Sham has been hailed by The New York Times as a pianist whose playing combines “clarity, elegance, and abundant technique,” and by The Washington Post as an artist with “boundless potential.” Performing selected works by Brahms and Chopin Impromptus before Beethoven’s haunting, ethereal, and beloved “Moonlight” Sonata, it is a debut not to be missed – on the stage that has hosted iconic pianists, including Claudio Arrau, Alicia de Larrocha, Alfred Brendel, Danil Trifinov, András Schiff, and so many others.
