Written for a competition in 1701, The Judgement of Paris is one of the very first operas to be performed in London – sung entirely in English. It was never recorded and has remained unstaged for over 300 years, until now.
Come and hear the live performance of Daniel Purcell’s The Judgement of Paris from The Rodolfus Choir and Spiritato!, timed to celebrate their recent CD release. The concert also features instrumental music from 1701 by the composer and his contemporaries.
