A packed Royal Albert Hall were treated to no less than seventeen works written and inspired by George and Ira Gershwin, in addition to three encores. 

Marking 25 years since the death of Leonard Bernstein, Prom 67 celebrated his writing for stage and screen in a lively and colourful performance by the John Wilson Orchestra.

On entering Door One at the Royal Albert Hall and seeing top hats, tails and tap shoes clustered in a doorway, it was time to prepare for an evening of ‘The Broadway Sound’.

English National Ballet’s early summer spectacular offers an evening of glamour, glitz and gorgeous gowns all neatly wrapped in the glorious music of the Gershwin brothers. Choreographed and directed by Derek Deane, it combines a medley of songs, music and various dance styles – classical ballet, ballroom and tap dancing --to suit every taste.
