Food & drink

There are three restaurants / coffees nearby the Philharmonie de Paris:

  • L'Envol, panoramic restaurant

Located on the 6th floor of the Philharmonie, with a panoramic view over the Parc de la Villette and the monuments of Paris, L’Envol, restaurant and lounge, offers healthy, gourmet cuisine dreamt up by Thibaut Spiwack, Michelin-starred chef and pioneer of sustainable gastronomy, and interpreted daily by his partner, the chef Sarah Ledu. The menu plays with tradition and surprises with its combination of original flavours, while favouring seasonal ingredients, small local producers and plants.
Open Wednesday to Saturday and on concert evenings from 6pm.

  • Café de la musique

Located on the Place de la Fontaine-aux-Lions, opposite the Grande Halle de la Villette, the Café de la Musique is the place to go for a light snack or a full meal, in a refined setting or on its spacious sunny terrace.
Open Monday to Thursday from 12pm to 1am, Fridays and Saturdays from 12pm to 2am and Sundays from 12pm to 8pm

  • L'Atelier-café
On the ground floor of the Philharmonie, overlooking the esplanade, l’Atelier-café offers quality ‘on the go’ food, including small dishes, salads and sandwiches, to eat in or take away.

Accessibility

A philharmonie accessible to all

Welcomed by trained staff, disabled visitors are invited to take full part in the many activities on offer. All areas are accessible to people with reduced mobility and wheelchair users.

  • Music museum and exhibitions

Disabled visitors can explore the collections of the Musée de la musique on a self-guided tour using the free videoguide, which offers content in French sign language, audio description or simplified tour.
Visually impaired visitors are invited to follow a tactile tour using raised images and a booklet in Braille and large print (available from reception). Most guided tours of the Museum’s permanent collection and temporary exhibitions can be adapted for disabled visitors.
  • Concerts and shows

Reserved seats for wheelchair users are available in all the concert halls of the Cité de la musique - Philharmonie de Paris. Visually impaired people can ask to be seated as close as possible to the stage. The Pierre Boulez Symphonic Hall is equipped with a high-frequency antenna. Boxes equipped with “neckloops” are available for greater listening comfort. Portable magnetic loops are installed in the reception areas and cloakrooms. Trained reception staff are available on the various levels of the Philharmonie.
  • Children's philharmonie

The Children's Philharmonie is developing a multi-sensory approach to reach out to all audiences, thanks to a set design and furniture adapted to all people with disabilities. Quiet hours are offered every first Sunday of the month from 10am to 1pm.
Children's facilities

There are no child care or crèche facilities but there are a lot of activities and concerts dedicated to children.
