Andras Schiff returned to the Proms for a late night recital of JS Bach's Well Tempered Clavier, Book I. His execution was masterly and this master pianist's reputation as a standard bearer of this music was upheld beyond doubt.

From the opening two sets of preludes and fugues from Book I of Bach's The Well-Tempered Clavier, it was clear that while Pierre-Laurent Aimard possesses the technical skill to perform this music, he lacks some style.
