Freya Apffelstaedt, geboren in Kapstadt (Südafrika), studiert derzeit klassischen Gesang an der Hochschule für Musik und Theater München. Als Mezzosopranistin, Geigerin und Mitglied verschiedener Kammerchöre konnte sie bereits im europäischen Raum viel Konzerterfahrung sammeln.
