Kathryn Stott leads this masterclass with a focus on technique and musical interpretation, offering insight drawn from her long career on the international concert stage.
Stott has had a distinguished career as a soloist and chamber musician, best known for her long‑standing partnership with Yo‑Yo Ma, with whom she performed and recorded for over four decades. Alongside her performing career, she is a respected teacher and Professor of Piano at the Royal Northern College of Music, with a strong commitment to supporting emerging musicians. In 2025, she was awarded the King’s Medal for Music, recognising her outstanding contribution to musical life in the UK.
