In the Almaviva Castle, the wedding day of servants Figaro and Susanna is fraught with complications: Figaro must ward off the advances of the duenna, Marcellina, while Susanna must find a way to avoid her lecherous master. Conspiring with the heartbroken Countess, the young couple plot to outwit the Count, who is made to see the error of his philandering ways, in a day of scandalous revelation.
